Class Recap: Part 1

Well, my first class is over and yowzers, I'm pooped!  It was well worth the effort because I had a blast and I think my guests did to, so i'll file this event under the category of "awesomesauce" =)

I'm incredibly proud of my stampers!  I had some never-stamped-before gals and they caught on quickly and were eager to learn!  I hope I was able to give them the attention they needed, because I felt like I was pulled in 15 directions at once for awhile there >.<

Anywho, here's some of the projects we made:

I think this card was the hit of the afternoon. After completing it, everyone really seemed pleased with their results, and with how easy it came together.  I even got a few "Wow"s from the new stampers!  This is one of those cards that looks complicated but once you sit down and do it, it's not hard at all.

I gave people the choice of sentiment for this card.  Some people chose Happy Mother's Day as shown, others went with Happy Easter and I think someone also might have turned this into a birthday card.  Offering this choice helped people to make a card that they found most useful for their needs.

Here's another one we made:

For this card, I gave everyone a choice of Thank-You's from the Thank You Kindly set.  It's always interesting to see which stamps people gravitate towards.  One gal stamped the thank-you on the left side instead and did some background flourishes in blue to add interest.  I LOVE seeing people switch things up to suit their tastes because oftentimes it's something I never would have thought of myself!

So, those are the first 2 cards we did.  Tune in tomorrow for part 2 to see the rest of the cards we made, plus some lessons learned from my first event.

Thanks for stopping by!
Michey
